ITEC's 11th Annual Conference- "Community Environmental Stewardship for the Future"

The Inter-Tribal Environmental Council (ITEC), a consortium of 40 tribes from Oklahoma, New Mexico and Texas, is holding its 11th Annual Environmental Conference, "Community Environmental Stewardship for the Future." The conference will be held on June 20-21, 2006 at the Sheraton Oklahoma City Hotel. The day before the conference there will be a golf tournament at the Citizen Potawatomi's Fire Lake Golf Course in Shawnee. The conference will begin at 9:30am on Tuesday, June 20th and ends on Wednesday, June 21st, 2006 at approximately 12:00 pm.

Previous conference attendees have included various tribal and non-tribal representatives and elected officials across the United States. Representatives held positions such as environmental and public health professionals, engineers, students, technicians, real estate developers, consultants, well drillers, geologists, hydrologists, attorneys, tribal and community leaders and many more. A special invitation has been extended to all EPA Region 6 Tribes in Oklahoma, New Mexico, Texas, and Louisiana.
