Intermediate Planner

The Sheltair Group is a Vancouver-based consulting firm with over 20 years experience and a leading reputation in resource management, sustainable urban development, and building performance.

The company employs a multi-disciplinary team of engineers, planners and environmental professionals. We help clients “define and achieve their goals for sustainability through collaborative and integrated processes. We do a mix of policy development, research and technical analysis, planning and design, and stakeholder engagement. We have a broad scope of expertise including energy, water, materials, and land use. We are innovators, and our work is compelling!

The Sheltair Group is looking for an intermediate planner to join our expanding planning and sustainability practice.

Required:

• Degree in Geography, Resource Management, Planning, Environmental Science or equivalent

• Experience with community and/or regional planning projects

• Knowledge and experience working with ArcGIS

• Database management and spreadsheets

• Excellent research and writing skills

• Analytical skills

• 5+ years experience

Preferred:

• Knowledge of CommunityViz software

• Experience with indicators, planning data, Official Community Plans, scenario modeling

• Experience working for the private sector / working in consulting

• Experience working with local government clients
