I'm searching for a geo spatial file as depicted on the map
Has anyone out there obtained this information?
I have not come accross such geospatial data and I think it may be difficult to obtain, given that the boundaries are deliberately blended - such data does not lend well to GIS.
However, in the first paragraph, they mention using the SOI boundaries and this Sovereign Indigenous Nations Territorial Boundaries map, which I had not seen before:
It would be fairly easy to georeference the map and digitize those boundaries.
This page will direct you to where you can find the SOI boundaries: http://www.nativemaps.org/?q=node/1351
Please share your discoveries and maps with us, it would be great to see what you do!
The Land Belongs to US until we give it up.....
The BC Ministry of Forests has First Nation boundaries on their FTP site... you probably have to go district by district, but it's there. Sorry I don't know the URL off hand...
That's really interesting Fireweed. How do they delineate the FN boundaries? Is it Statement of Intent?
