Venture Loans - Business Development Bank of Canada

Operated by Business Development Bank of Canada. Financing from $100,000 to $5,000,000 is available to companies who have a distinct competitive advantage, have a strong and committed management team members and advisers, have market opportunity that are sufficiently large for the long term growth of the company, have developed a realistic business plan, and offer a viable and constructive exit strategy for the investors.

A partnership initiative of the federal government, the Aboriginal Workforce Participation Initiative (AWPI) is committed to increasing the participation of Aboriginal peoples in the labour market. Initially launched in 1991, AWPI's mandate was renewed and enhanced in 1996.
