GeoBase is a federal, provincial and territorial government initiative that is overseen by the Canadian Council on Geomatics (CCOG). It is undertaken to ensure the provision of, and access to, a common, up-to-date and maintained base of quality geospatial data for all of Canada.

Canada Lands Digital Cadastral Data provides the cadastral parcel framework for specified Canada Lands. This cadastral line and parcel structured vector data is designed and suited for Geographic Information Systems (GIS) application.

New editions of the Newfoundland and Labrador and Prince Edward Island portions of the National Road Network were recently released. The datasets are available at the GeoBase Web site, as always free of charge and restrictions.
